CLEAN DRINKING WATER FOR THE POOREST IN BURKINA FASO

In rural areas of Burkina Faso, many people do not have access to clean water. Latrines are a rare commodity. The "Children" fund is sponsoring the initiative of the aid organization Morija to provide the inhabitants of Burkina Faso with clean water and to improve hygiene.

The "Yalda" fund supports the education of socially disadvantaged people in the favelas of Brazil. Projeto Uerê looks after badly affected children and young people in Favela da Maré, an area of Rio de Janeiro that is particularly afflicted by violence.

EDUCATING FEMALE FARMERS IN WESTERN KENYA

EDUCATING FEMALE FARMERS IN WESTERN KENYA

Female farmers in western Kenya can contribute to their family income by selling honey products. The "Biovision" Foundation provided the expertise on beekeeping and honey production. The "Aurora" fund supported this project and is thereby helping to improve the quality of life of those living in this barren landscape.

    HELP FOR PEOPLE IN NEED

    HELP FOR PEOPLE IN NEED

The "Lys Assia" Foundation supports the training of search and rescue dogs and guide dogs for the blind. With their characteristic sensory abilities, dogs can save the lives of people buried in an avalanche or make it easier for visually impaired people to complete day-to-day tasks. These dogs are not geared to provide such assistance from birth; continuous training makes them indispensable partners for people in need.

EDUCATION FOR POOR CHILDREN IN RWANDA

The FXB International Foundation is dedicated to rebuilding the infrastructure in Rwanda, educating poor children, and providing access to water and sanitary facilities. The project supported by the "Esperanza" fund focuses on the education of children in the village of Gashuru. The donation also covers the costs of school fees and school books.

PROTECTING ORANGUTANS IN THE "HEART OF BORNEO" IN INDONESIA

The "Protection of Tropical Forests" fund is committed to the conservation of tropical forests and the protection of orangutans in Borneo, and supports the initiative of the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) Switzerland. This initiative enables the local people to earn their living whilst still preserving the rain forests. An area of 3,000 hectares is also being reforested, expanding the habitat of orangutans and other wild animals.

    SUPPORTING THEATER HORA

    SUPPORTING THEATER HORA

Theater HORA in Zurich is the only professional theater in Switzerland whose members all have a state-certified mental disability.
